Locums - Decatur, Georgia, NP/PA General Surgery Opening

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a locum tenens General Surgery opportunity in Decatur, Georgia. This is a surgical assist–focused role with a predictable weekday schedule, no call, and exposure to a high-volume surgical service across multiple specialties.

• Monday–Friday schedule with no call

• Surgical assist role in a busy OR environment

• High-volume, scheduled non-urgent cases

• Exposure to General Surgery, Orthopedics, OB/Gyn, Urology, and Robotics

• No outpatient clinic responsibilities

• Dates: March 20, 2026 – July 31, 2026

• Monday–Friday: 7:30am – 4:30pm

• Call: None

• Cases may occasionally extend to 6:00–7:00pm, though no call is expected at this time

• Hospital-based operating room

• No outpatient clinic

• EMR: Epic

• Serve as surgical assist across multiple service lines

• Primary focus on General Surgery

• Assist with Orthopedics, OB/Gyn, Urology, and Robotic procedures

• Support scheduled, non-urgent surgical cases

• 90–110 cases per week (scheduled)

• Daily census: 10–30 cases

• Patients per shift: 10

• Surgeon

• Scrub technician

• Circulating RN

• CRNA

• Hospital management assisting in OR on surgical cases only

• Board Certified or Board Eligible

• Active Georgia license – Required

• BLS – Required
