Required Skills:
  • Current State Physician Assistant licensure with the ability to practice independently
  • NCCPA certification
  • Prior experience in general surgery or closely related fields
  • Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Flexibility to adapt to variable schedules and patient needs

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience in plastic or reconstructive surgery desirable
  • Advanced procedural skills relevant to surgical assistance
  • Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-education clinical practice in surgery or related specialty
  • Prior exposure to surgical environments such as ER, OR, or outpatient clinics

Other Requirements:
  • Availability to work full-time hours with the potential for overtime
  • Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
  • Ability to handle occasional travel and be responsive to urgent paperwork needs
