Required Skills:
- Current State Physician Assistant licensure with the ability to practice independently
- NCCPA certification
- Prior experience in general surgery or closely related fields
- Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Flexibility to adapt to variable schedules and patient needs
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in plastic or reconstructive surgery desirable
- Advanced procedural skills relevant to surgical assistance
- Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Minimum of 2 years of post-education clinical practice in surgery or related specialty
- Prior exposure to surgical environments such as ER, OR, or outpatient clinics
Other Requirements:
- Availability to work full-time hours with the potential for overtime
- Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
- Ability to handle occasional travel and be responsive to urgent paperwork needs
