Required Skills:
- Valid Physician Assistant license in Michigan
- prior experience in cardiovascular or vascular surgery preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency with Epic EMR system
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in ICU or surgical rounding
- Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Familiarity with trauma patient care
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- At least 2 years of clinical experience in surgery, ICU, or cardiovascular settings
- Prior locum or temporary healthcare assignment is a plus
Other Requirements:
- Availability for 4-day, 10-hour shifts starting February 2026
- Willingness to be on call 1 in 4 weeks, including night and weekend shifts
- Must possess current BLS and ACLS certification
- Ability to handle patient caseloads averaging 15-30 patients per day, including discharges and ICU rounds
- Must comply with all hospital policies and state licensing regulations
