Required Skills:
- Valid Physician Assistant license with current certification
- Proven experience assisting in cardiothoracic or thoracic surgeries, including robotic-assisted procedures
- Ability to perform pre- and post-operative patient evaluations and management
- Competence in intraoperative assistance, chest tube insertions, arterial line placements, and emergent floor procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with minimally invasive and thoracoscopic procedures (VATS)
- Experience managing ICU and step-down patients
- Familiarity with robotic surgical systems such as DaVinci
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies
- At least 2 years of solid experience in cardiothoracic or thoracic surgery modularly or as a core part of your practice
Other Requirements:
- Availability to start as soon as credentialed, with full-time commitment
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, with flexible hours generally from 0700 to 1500, and additional on-call and weekend shifts
- Willingness to carry a pager for 24-hour on-call duties, including nights and weekends
- Credentialing to be completed within 10 days of start date
- Travel/lodging arrangements as specified, with support for licensure, certification, and related reimbursements
