Locums Physician Assistant General Surgery | Concord, North Carolina
A hospital-based general surgery service in Concord, North Carolina is seeking a PA for locum tenens coverage. This opportunity offers overnight in-house shifts with full responsibility for inpatient census and ED consults under attending supervision.
Assignment Details January 26, 2026 – February 26, 2026 12-hour in-house overnight shifts No call Facility is open to multiple providers
Practice Setting Trauma and emergency general surgery group Rounding on inpatient census and new ED consults Attending physician on-site for supervision and questions May include GYN onc patients (requires GYN and Gen Surg privileges) Teenage patients may be included; younger children transferred to children’s hospital
Patient Volume Approximately 30 patients per shift Only APP at night; MD on-site
Requirements Board Certified – Required Active North Carolina license – Required BLS – Required
Hospital Information Trauma Level III EMR: Epic
