JOB DESCRIPTION:
Medical Center in North Carolina is seeking an APP to be an integral part of a CT surgery team committed to providing exceptional patient care and promoting innovation. Two years of CT surgery PA experience preferred. Attractive compensation and benefits package offered.
About the Position:
- Advanced cardiac program offers minimally invasive procedures, TAVR, CABG, robotic surgery, lung procedures and more
- Four PA team supports three talented surgeons
- Responsibilities include first assist, post-op care with ICU management, and clinic
- Monday – Friday schedule with 1:3 call
Position-specific knowledge and skills required:
- Proficient with saphenous vein harvest (open and endoscopic) and tube thoracostomy
- Management of ventilators and critically ill patients
- In-depth knowledge of and experience in titrating inotropic and pressor medications
- Efficient with placement of central lines, arterial lines (femoral, radial), Swan-Ganz catheters, and chest tubes
