Job Responsibilities
- Assist in cardiac surgeries as a first assist
- Perform chest tube insertions and retrieval of vascular tissues for bypass conduits
- Provide patient care in the ICU and on the floor as needed
- Participate in call schedule, averaging once per week
Qualifications
- Active New York State License
- NCCPA certification
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Cardiac surgery operating experience, including first assist and vein harvesting
- Robotic experience is a plus
Working Hours
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Call varies, 1-2 evenings a week operating from home
Skills
- Proficiency in the use of Epic for documentation
- Strong surgical and patient care skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with supervising physicians and healthcare teams
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
