Required Skills:
- Active Minnesota Physician Assistant license
- Proven experience in surgical oncology, particularly in Hepatobiliary/Pancreatic procedures
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments, diagnostics, and treatments independently
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to assist in surgical procedures, including wound and drain care
- Excellent patient education skills
- Familiarity with medical diagnostics and medication prescribing
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience in inpatient and outpatient surgical oncology settings
- Advanced procedural skills such as patient prepping, assisting in the OR, and closure techniques
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and outside agencies
- Knowledge of healthcare documentation and electronic medical records
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Minimum of 2 years of surgical oncology experience, ideally within a hospital or specialized cancer center
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Other Requirements:
- Availability for immediate or ASAP start
- Willingness to work Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
- Willingness to participate in ongoing education and program development activities
- Compensation at $129.68/hour
