We are seeking an experienced Surgery - Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant for a 5-day locum tenens assignment in Arkansas. This opportunity begins on Dec 31, 2025, and features 24-hour call shifts, including in-OR hours from 7 AM to 12 PM. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of first assist experience, with a strong background in endoscopic vein harvesting and cardiac surgery, including CABG, valve, and great vessel cases.

Responsibilities and Duties
- First assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including CABG, valve surgeries, and operations involving the great vessels
- Perform endoscopic vein harvesting for cardiac cases
- Provide perioperative patient care under supervision of attending surgeons
- Participate in 24-hour call coverage as scheduled
- Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality in all clinical activities
Additional Information
- Minimum 3 years of first assist experience required; Trauma center background is a plus
- Endoscopic vein harvesting experience is required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration, and Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) credentials required
- Must be licensed to practice in Arkansas
