Job description
A leading cardiovascular program in Manchester, NH is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant to provide locums coverage across the OR, ICU, and PCU. This role requires strong CVOR first-assist skills and proficiency in vein harvesting using the Vasoview Hemopro 2 system. Providers should have comprehensive experience managing cardiac surgery patients across the continuum of care.
Schedule
- Day Shift (OR): 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Weekday Call: 1 overnight call per week
- Weekend Call: Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM
Responsibilities
- First assist in CVOR cases
- Perform endoscopic vein harvesting (Vasoview Hemopro 2)
- Manage postoperative patients in the ICU and PCU
- Participate in daily rounds and interdisciplinary care planning
- Provide pre- and postoperative patient management
- Respond to consults and assist the cardiac surgery team as needed
Facility Details
- Bed Count: 330 beds
- Annual Cardiovascular Volume: 450–500 hearts per year
Requirements
- Physician Assistant License: Active NH PA license
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of Cardiovascular Surgery experience
- CVOR First Assist Experience Required
- Proficient in endoscopic vein harvesting – Vasoview Hemopro 2
- Strong experience in ICU and step-down (PCU) management
