Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant
  • Proficiency in harvesting veins and assisting in all open heart surgeries
  • Strong suturing skills and familiarity with pre- and post-operative surgical care
  • Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent communication and patient management skills
  • Experience with Epic EMR is preferred but not mandatory

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Prior experience in cardiothoracic surgery or critical care
  • Advanced suturing and surgical assisting skills
  • Familiarity with outpatient and inpatient surgical workflows
  • Bilingual abilities to better serve diverse patient populations

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current and active PA license and certification
  • At least 2 years of cardio-thoracic surgical experience preferred

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:00 pm
  • Flexibility to work additional hours past 8 hours daily as needed, with applicable overtime compensation
  • Call responsibilities, primarily on weekends, with callback duties and related compensation
  • Must be available for a minimum commitment of 3 weeks per month to ensure consistency
  • Certification in ACLS and BLS preferred
  • Travel and licensure expenses reimbursed as applicable
