Job description We are seeking a Pediatric Surgery Physician Assistant for a 96-day locum tenens assignment in Georgia. This role starts on Oct 20, 2025, and includes both day and night shifts, with a focus on night coverage due to higher patient needs. The Physician Assistant will handle pediatric surgery cases, including admissions, discharges, and consults, with a typical patient load of 20-50 per shift depending on the time.

  • Schedule: 3-4 shifts per month, 7a-7p or 7p-7a; Night shifts preferred

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Manage pediatric surgery cases including admissions, discharges, and consults
  • Provide first assist in surgeries, if applicable (not required)
  • Handle patient load of 20 during day shifts and 40-50 during night shifts
  • Ensure high-quality care and patient safety

Additional Information
  • Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Required Board Certification: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC)
  • Must hold a valid Georgia license
  • Proficiency with the Epic EMR system
