Locum Physician Assistant – General Surgery

Client in Springfield, MA is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to provide inpatient surgical support on night shifts only. Join a robust and collaborative surgical team providing care across general surgery, bariatrics, vascular, and gynecologic surgery.
🩺 Position Highlights:

Setting: Inpatient, hospital-based

Schedule: Full-time nights only (no call)

Support: Join a team of 8 PAs and 10 surgeons

Annual ER Volume: 90,000

EMR: Epic

Patient Population: Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric

Surgical Case Mix: General Surgery, Bariatrics, some Vascular & GYN

Credentialing Timeframe: 30–40 days

Travel: Full travel reimbursed if not local
✅ Requirements:

NCCPA Certified – Required

Active MA License at submission – Required, no exceptions

Prior surgical PA experience – Required (no new grads)

Local preferred, but open to travelers
