General Surgery Np/Pa - Surgical Experience Required opening in Findlay, OH Advanced practice provider opportunity in General Surgery.

  • 2+ years experience in General Surgery REQUIRED
  • Assist surgeon in the OR
  • Round on postoperative patients, seeing inpatient consults, write daily notes on inpatients, devise plans and executing orders
  • Conduct physical exams, discuss post-operative care plans, manage acute illnesses and conditions with physician collaboration
  • Place preoperative orders for upcoming surgical cases
  • See simple clinic consults and be able to make appropriate and reasonable plans for surgery and/or endoscopy
  • Discuss post-operative plans of care with patients and their families
  • Manage treatment for acute surgical and critical care illnesses in a hospital setting
  • Collaborate with physician to provide comprehensive medical and surgical treatmentConduct physical exams for hospitalized patients
  • Utilize and understand imaging modalities to assist in patient care such as Ultrasound and CT
  • Answer patients calls and questions during business hours, Monday-Friday
  • Open for growth and flexibility within the scope of general surgical practice
