Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care under the supervision of attending surgeons.

Conduct patient rounds, assessments, and develop treatment plans.

Manage admissions, discharges, and consultations for general surgery patients.

Participate in resident or teaching supervision as required.
Job Responsibilities

Qualifications
Education: Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
Licensure: Must hold an active North Carolina (NC) license
Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) required
Experience: Prior experience in general surgery or a surgical setting preferred
Hospital Privileges: Required (no temporary privileges available)
Working Hours
No on-call or weekend coverage required
Allowed holidays: Thanksgiving, Memorial Day, Christmas, 4th of July, Labor Day, New Year's Day
Skills
Proficiency in Epic EMR documentation
Ability to manage assigned patient rounds efficiently
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Adaptability in both inpatient and outpatient environments
