• Base Salary: $160,000

About the Hospital:

A 127-bed Level III Trauma Center is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to support Surgical Services and collaborate with a team of skilled physicians in delivering high-quality patient care.

Position Overview:

The Physician Assistant - General Surgery will provide comprehensive care, assisting in surgeries and performing procedures within their scope of practice. This role offers a dynamic and collaborative environment within a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in surgical procedures across Orthopedics, General Surgery, Urology, or ENT

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within scope of practice

• Set up and turn over surgical rooms efficiently

• Ensure proper sterile techniques are maintained at all times

• Work collaboratively with surgeons, OR teams, and other healthcare professionals

• Provide patient care with a customer-service-oriented approach

• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to best practices in healthcare

• Take personal responsibility for continuous education and professional development

Schedule Options:

• Choice of shifts: Four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts

Required Qualifications:

• Active & clear Physician Assistant license

• Board Certification required

• Minimum 2+ years of Orthopedics PA experience (excluding training)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Basic computer proficiency

• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks frequently

• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds

• Compliance with standard precautions due to exposure risks

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Salary: $160,000 (for full-time, 40-hour week)

• Sign-on Bonus: Up to $10,000
