The cardiac surgery program at Einstein Jefferson Phila is seeking an experienced FT cardiac surgery APP! This program is rewarding, bringing advanced cardiac surgery services to an underserved population. This program highly values their APP's. Join a team of dedicated surgeons and APP's in this completely APP run service. This position offers lifestyle flexibility. Our team values a work-life balance. Schedule is 3 12's. Surgical call is very manageable - 1 weekend every 6th week

In this role, the practitioner will first assist in cardiac surgery operations and assist in the management and implementation of the health care plan for Cardiac Surgical Service as defined by surgical attending staff. This role is a hybrid with both outpatient and inpatient responsibilities.

Responsibilities (as approved by the Medical Staff Board):

  • First assist in cardiac surgery procedures
  • Responsible for inpatient care related to pre and postoperative heart surgery and patients in the CCU and Telemetry unit as defined by surgical attending.
  • Perform and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic bedside procedures
  • Assure clear and concise transfer of clinical information between nurses, clinical staff and physicians
  • Assist in data collecting of information related to any research trials within the department of Cardiothoracic
  • Maintaining communication with other clinical service
