Cardiothoracic (CT) Surgical Physician's Assistant (PA) needed for growing surgical department:

• This hospital is making major investments in the surgical service lines by adding PAs across all disciplines
• This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, rotated shifts staged days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays
• Focus on the care of Cardiothoracic (CT) patients in pre, peri and post-op phases including ICU and Stepdown
• Assist in operative procedures and will be the first assistant on Cardiothoracic surgical cases
• Responsible for procedures such as Chest tube insertion, removal, IABP removal, arterial lines and central lines
• No call responsibilities, 2 nights and 2 weekend shifts per month.
• Additional per diem shifts can be taken for extra pay

• CT State license, DEA, CSR (active or applied preferred) but not required
• Certified Physicians Assistant Program
• New graduates completing training in the next 12 months encouraged to apply
• EVH experience preferred but NOT required
• 2 years physician assistant experience preferred but NOT required
