Job Description

The primary focus of the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner is to provide patient-centered, compassionate healthcare services to the communities served.

Details:

  • Permanent, full-time position
  • 378-bed regional referral and trauma center
  • Will be working with a team of 3 CVTS surgeons, 6 NPs/PAs, Practice Manager, MA's and support staff
  • Provide care to established cardiovascular and thoracic surgery patients
  • Primarily responsible for rounding/case management in the CCU
  • Additional responsibilities including care coordination, post-op patient visits in clinic, medication management, and discharge planning/referrals

Qualifications

  • Valid Oregon Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license
  • Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • DEA certificate required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery required
  • BLS certified by American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start
  • 1-2 years of experience in CCU is desired
  • Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs
