Physician Assistant - Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery Position OverviewBoth days and nights needed 7a to 7p and 7p to 7a, 7 days per week. Rounding in ICU, pre and post-cardiac surgery, will manage patients coming off of vents. Taking care of patients who are coming out of the OR with open hearts, vats and lung cases. There are an average of 10-15 patients on the service at any time. OR experience with vein harvesting strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Day: 7a-7p
Night: 7p-7a
Rounding on assigned patients in the ICU
Managing pre and post-cardiac surgery patients
Caring for patients coming off ventilators
Managing patients post-operatively from open heart, VATS, and lung procedures
Candidate Requirements
Board certification required (Certified minimum)
Licensed in TX or IMLC
Fellowship preferred
ACLS and BLS certifications required
OR experience with vein harvesting strongly preferred
