Coverage Needed
- Start Date: As soon as credentialed
- End Date: July 2026
- Preferred Schedule: 5/8-hour shifts per week; weekends and call may be required
Clinical Details
- Takes medical histories, examines and treats patients/offenders
- Orders and interprets laboratory tests and x-rays
- Formulates diagnoses and treatment plans
- Prescribes medications and monitors responses
- Documents and records progress notes
- Responds to emergency situations
- Counsels and instructs patients/offenders in preventive care and health issues
- Performs minor surgical procedures, medical rounds to observe and document patient progress
- Orders as necessary: medical devices, referrals to specialists
- Participates in operative, perioperative, and emergency cardiac surgical care
- EMR: Epic
- Performs all related duties as required Cardiac surgery experience
Requirements
- CT license preferred
- NCCPA, BLS, ACLS, ATLS, DEA, CSR certifications required
- Cardiac surgery experience required:
- Minimum of 15 years of direct operating room experience in adult cardiac surgery preferred
- Demonstrated experience with all open cardiac surgery procedures
- Documented experience providing robotic cardiac surgery support
- Advanced conduit harvesting expertise including proven proficiency with the Terumo endoscopic vein harvesting system
- Documentation of more than 1,500 endoscopic saphenous vein harvests performed
- Ability to independently perform endoscopic radial artery harvest
