Assignment Length:
- Initial 6-month contract
- Potential to extend
Start Date: March 1, 2026
Openings: 1
Details:
- Inpatient, OR, Clinic and Call coverage
- Monday-Friday, 7:00a-3:00p
- 1:4 rotating weekend call
- Average cases per week:
- 6-8 cardiac
- 9-12 thoracic
- EMR: EPIC
- Credentialing: 90 days
Qualifications
Board certification
AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
Minimum 1-years Cardiothoracic Surgery experience or equivalent
Open to onboarding and training providers with limited experience who are interested in a locum-to-permanent commitmentConduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Order and interpret diagnostic tests
Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions
Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices.
Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and APP specialty
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care
Document patient care accurately and thoroughly
Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients
Proficiency in performing physical examinations and procedures relevant to their specialty
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to diagnose and manage complex medical conditions
Time management skills to efficiently manage a patient workload
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a healthcare team
