• Urgent locum opportunity for experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery PA
• Coverage needed ASAP with weekday, weekend, and night call
• OR-based role with active surgical participation
• Coverage needed ASAP with weekday, weekend, and night call
• OR-based role with active surgical participation
Job Responsibilities
• Perform endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH)
• Insert and manage chest tubes
• Round on ICU and floor patients (5–12/day)
• Assist in surgeries (approx. 2 cases/day)
• Coordinate care, write orders, interpret tests, and prescribe medications
Qualifications
• Active New Jersey license or compact license required
• Minimum 2–3 years cardiac surgery experience
• Full proficiency in EVH required
• Immediate availability required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
Working Hours
• Night call: 6 pm – 6 am
• Weekend call: Fri 6 pm – Mon 6 am with rounding Sat/Sun 7 am–12 pm
Skills
• First assist in cardiac surgery

• Inpatient rounding and perioperative care
• EMR documentation (Cerner)
