Exciting locum opportunity for a skilled Cardiovascular Surgery PA in Syracuse, NY! Step into a high-impact role assisting in complex cardiac surgeries while supporting ICU and floor care.

📅 Assignment Details:

• Dates of Coverage: February 1, 2026 – May 1, 2026

• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Call: 1–2 evenings/week, home-based OR call (1/week rotation)

• Reason for Coverage: Paternity leave

🏥 Practice Setting & Responsibilities:

• Hospital-based Cardiac Surgery, primarily OR with some ICU/floor coverage

• Chest tube insertions

• Retrieval of vascular tissues for bypass conduits

• OR first assist

• Supervised by experienced cardiac surgeon

👩‍⚕️ Patient Population:

• Adult cardiac surgery patients

• Trauma Level: 2

• EMR: Epic

✈️ Travel & Expenses Covered:

• Hotel, flights, rental car reimbursed

✅ Requirements:

• NCCPA certified

• Active NY State License

• BLS & ACLS required

• Cardiac surgery experience: 1st assist, vein harvest, OR procedures

• Robotic experience a plus
