📌 Description:
A dynamic locum position for an experienced Cardiovascular Surgery PA to join a high-performing cardiac surgery team. Work in a top-rated surgical environment with OR-first assist responsibilities, cardiac procedures, and ICU/floor coverage. Travel expenses fully covered!
Job Responsibilities
• Assist in cardiac surgeries as 1st Assist
• Perform chest tube insertions
• Perform vein/vascular tissue harvesting for bypass
• Provide OR coverage, plus limited ICU/floor support
• Collaborate with supervising physician and surgical team
• Participate in call coverage (1–2 evenings/week from home)
• Document clinical activities using Epic EMR
Qualifications
• NCCPA certification — Required
• Active New York PA License
• BLS & ACLS certifications
• Cardiac surgery experience required (OR assist, vein harvest, etc.)
• Robotic surgery experience a plus
Working Hours
• Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Call: 1–2 evenings per week (from home)
• Assignment Dates: Feb 1, 2026 – May 1, 2026
