Locum NP/PA – Hershey, Pennsylvania, CVT Surgery Opening Full-Time Opportunity | OR First Assist & Call Coverage | Trauma Level I | Ongoing Need

A hospital in Hershey, Pennsylvania, is seeking a full-time NP or PA to provide Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery coverage. This is a non-PRN, ongoing position offering consistent hours and scheduled call rotation. The provider will assist in the OR, provide clinic coverage, and participate in call responsibilities.

Coverage Dates:

• ASAP – Ongoing Need

Schedule:

• Full-Time: 36–40 hours per week

• Typical Shifts: Three 12-hour shifts (6a–6p), not including call

• Call: Nights and weekends; approximately 1:6 ratio

• Weeknight Call: 6p–6:30a (home call)

• Weekend Call: Friday 6p – Monday 6:30a (home call)

Response Time: Within 30 minutes

Work Details:

• Setting: Hospital-based, primarily OR with some ICU floor time

• Clinic Patients: 3–4 per shift

• Average Call Patients Seen: 2

• Call Back Rate: ~20%

• Equipment: Marquet

• Procedures: EVH and first assist

Facility Details:

• Trauma Level: I

• EMR: Cerner

• Board Certified/Board Eligible – Required

• Active Pennsylvania License – Required

• Certifications: ACLS & BLS Required

• Experience: Prior CVT Surgery experience preferred
