🫀 Locum PA/NP Opportunity – Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery
📍 near Charlotte, North Carolina
🗓️ Start Date: ASAP | ⏳ Duration: Ongoing (90-day minimum preferred)
seeking a Board-Certified PA or NP to support Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery patients in a nocturnal inpatient role. This is a locum tenens backfill assignment with no OR or ICU CT surgery coverage required.
🔍 Position Details
- Schedule: 7 on / 7 off | 12-hour night shifts (7 PM – 7 AM)
- Call: None
- Setting:
• Vascular Surgery: ICU (co-managed with Critical Care) + Floor
• Cardiothoracic Surgery: Floor only - Patient Load: 10–20 per shift | 30-bed department
- Team: 12 RNs, 2 PA/NPs
- EMR: Epic
- No rounding required – focus on admissions, consults, and changes in condition
✅ Requirements
- Board Certified PA or NP
- ACLS & BLS
- Active NC License (no exceptions)
- Clean file for temp privileges
🧠 Clinical Focus
- 50/50 split: Vascular & Cardiothoracic Surgery
- All major vascular operations (no ruptures/dissections)
- No OR responsibilities
