A high-acuity hospital in southern New Jersey is seeking experienced Physician Assistants to provide Cardiothoracic Surgery coverage. This role includes assisting in the OR, inpatient rounding, and call coverage. Providers must be skilled in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH) and first assist techniques. Immediate availability is preferred.
Job Responsibilities
• Conduct patient rounding (ICU and floor), consults, and care coordination.
• Perform chest tube insertions and post-operative management.
• Write orders, interpret test results, and assist in treatment planning.
• Provide night and weekend call coverage as needed.
Qualifications
• Active New Jersey License – Required (no time for licensing)
• CSR – Required
• 2–3 years of Cardiothoracic Surgery experience including EVH and first assist – Required
• Experience with Cerner EMR – Preferred
• Clean background and recent experience – Required
Working Hours
• Weekdays: 8–10-hour shifts (Mon–Fri)
• Night Call: 6 PM – 6 AM
• Weekend Call: Fri 6 PM – Mon 6 AM (includes rounding 7 AM–12 PM Sat & Sun)
