This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Physician Assistant with EVH expertise to join a dynamic adult cardiac program working alongside 4 experienced surgeons and 3 PAs at a flagship hospital.
This role offers true full-spectrum cardiac care — pre-op, first assist, ICU management, and outpatient follow-up — with strong autonomy and direct collaboration with a lead surgeon.

Position Highlights
- First assist in the OR with Endovascular Vein Harvesting (EVH)
- Manage pre-operative, post-operative, ICU, and step-down care
- Mix of inpatient rounding and outpatient clinic follow-up
- Perform bedside procedures (chest tube removal, line removal, wound care)
- Focused support of one lead surgeon
- Shared call schedule: 1:3 weekday call / 1:4 weekend call
- Active involvement in discharge planning, patient education, and quality initiatives
- Collaborative multidisciplinary cardiac team environment

- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Active NCCPA certification
- Minimum 1 years of EVH experience (required)
- 2–3 years of cardiothoracic surgery, critical care, or surgical experience
- BLS, ACLS, and active DEA
- Strong clinical judgment managing complex surgical patients
- Comfortable practicing with autonomy in a high-acuity setting
