Job description
- First-assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures including vein harvesting
- Participate in a team of three surgical assistants per day
- Provide weekday call (1 day/week) and backup coverage
- Participate in a 1:4 weekend call rotation (Friday 3:00 PM – Monday 6:30 AM)
- Maintain a 20-minute call response time
- Minimal call-back (typically 1–2 times per month)
- No rounding or admission responsibilitiesMust be board certified (or board eligible) in specialty
- Active WI license or IMLC eligibility
- ACLS and BLS certification required
- Prior experience in CT Surgery and first assist vein harvesting strongly preferred
- Fellowship preferredClinical Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Call Starts: Weekdays at 3:00 PM | Weekends begin Friday at 3:00 PM
- Patients per Shift: 1–3 surgical cases per day
- Bed Count in Department: 3
