- Other Details: The facility which is stroke-certified is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours and beeper call if needed. There are an average of 5 patients per shift. The facility is seeking a highly skilled PA with experience in atrial vein harvesting, essential for this role, to provide cardiac thoracic services at a community hospital and its corresponding clinic. The ideal candidate must be efficient in surgical skills for CVOR and vascular surgery, and capable of independently performing endoscopic and open vessel harvesting, including radial. Required procedures include CABG EVH, open vessel harvesting, TAVR, TACR, vascular surgery, and ECMO. The PA will assist with patient positioning, skin preparation, wound exposure, tissue handling, suturing, sponging, retraction, and the use of surgical instruments. They will independently make surgical incisions, administer local anesthetics, and perform invasive procedures such as venipuncture, central venous pressure line insertion, and thoracentesis. The PA will assist with preoperative care, postoperative care, routine rounds, and documentation, and rotate call coverage for surgical procedures and postoperative care. The role also involves participating in quality programs, in-house meetings, and continuing medical education through regional and national conferences.
