Locums – Flagstaff, Arizona, NP/PA Cardiothoracic Surgery Opening
Clinical Role:

- 4 Days between July 9-17 (flexible)
- Sat 9/7 and Sun 9/8
- Will need one day for orientation
- Support Staff: Surgeon
- Amount of Coverage Needed per Month: 4 days, 7a-3p plus call 3p-7a
- Patients per day: 10-15 CVICU/step down patients, plus 1-2 surgeries
- Patient Population/Age: adult/ger
- Department Description: CT Surgery
- EMR: Cerner
- Hospital Bed size: 199
- Special Procedures: temporary pacemaker removal, chest tube removal, IABP removal, Aline placement
- Skills Required: recent cardiothoracic surgery, proficient with EVH
- Practice Setting: Hospital
- Board Certification
- Active AZ License
- DEA: yes
- Minimum Experience Required: 3 years in cardiothoracic surgery with EVH
- Graduate from a university program approved by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants ( NCCPA) - Required
- Or
- Master’s degree in nursing- Required
- Certification & Licensures
- Certified or certification eligible by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).- Required
- Licensure or eligible for licensing as a Physician’s Assistant in the State of Arizona– Required
- CLS and BLS (American Heart Association)- Required
- OR
- Graduate from an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program – Required
- Completion of a RN/NP First Assistant Program- Required
- Current unrestricted Arizona APRN license- Required
- Medical Surgical or NP ANCC or AANP Certification- Required
- ACLS and BLS (American Heart Association)- Required
