Locums - Central Michigan Cardiovascular Surgery NP/PA Job

- Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible NP/PA
- Must have 1+ year post training general surgery experience
- o Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery APP
- o Clinic, Call, or Both: Both
- o Schedule:
- We’re looking to add one APP, as we have one departing, which leaves us with one APP to complete all vein harvests, and two overall
- One day of Orientation
- Monday – Friday: 7am – 5pm
- One clinic day per week (8am – 4:30 pm)
- Four Inpatient/OR days per week
- Plus Call: APP’s take first call (ICU, ED, Outpatient)
- Weeknight/Weekend Call divided amongst three APP’s
- Vein Call divided amongst two APP’s (including this locum)
- o Volume: OR Cases: On average 3- 8 cases per week
- CVICU: 10 bed unit
- o Case Types: Saphenous and radial vein harvesting (Utilize Getinge EVH)
- o Clinical support: One CVS Surgeon (plus three locums), Two APPs
- o EMR and Dictation Tools: EPIC/Dragon
- o Required experience, training, and certifications: BLS, ACLS
- Will not consider new grads
- o Case Logs: 50 Cases within the past 12 months
