Start date : July 01 2023
End date : Ongoing
Coverage type: Scheduled Clinic Hours + Call
Schedule:
Initial dates to cover below, but ongoing
June
7-9, 12-15, 20-23
July
10-14, 21 and 24
Shifts:
Monday – Friday 7a-3p for daytime; 7a-7a for 24hr call
Call 1:5 rotation
Will require 2 days of Epic training/1-2 days of shadowing
Patients per day: 1-2 OR; 9/10 Clinic/Consults
Scrubs provided
Practice Description :
4 Surgeon 4 PA practice
Clinic AND Call
Will only accept Cardiac
TVAR and CABG required
Cardiac/Thoracic Procedure:
General CV/thoracic surgery
* Open
* Endoscopic
The open portion of this section would mean open thoracic to me. What it does not mean is open EVH however. PAs/NPs must
be able to harvest endoscopically
Coronary artery bypass surgery
* on pump
* off pump
Congenital defects (ASD, VSD, PFO, etc.) No
Valvular
* repair
* replacement
Aneurysm repair
* cardiac
* aorto-thoracic
Lung resection (including VATs)
Chest wall or pleural procedures
Esophagus and diaphragm surgeries
Permanent pacemaker placement
AICD (Automatic Internal Cardiac Defibrillator)
Left ventricular assist devices
General CV/Thoracic Surgery
Procedures:
Vent Management
Bronchoscopy
Eval. And management of acute vol/BP issues
Insertion of:
* Central line
*Arterial line
* PA catheter
* IABP
Number Of Patients Per Shift: 10
Number of beds in Hospital: 53
Minimum Board Certification: BC
EMR System: Epic
