Job Summary: Under the supervision of a physician, provides direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive healthcare services to patients of a specific population served based on the norms for specialty. Job Description: We are seeking a qualified and motivated Advanced Practice Practitioner to complement our rheumatology team. This full time position will support one experienced rheumatology physician in delivering high quality, patient centered care. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments and manage care for patients with rheumatologic conditions Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and develop treatment plans with the support of the supervising Rheumatologist Collaborate with the supervising physician and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care Qualifications: Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Maine Minimum of two years’ experience as a licenses NP or PA Previous Rheumatology experience strongly preferred Certifications: Physician Assistant (PA) - State of Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine Benefits: Supporting all aspects of our employees’ wellness – physical, emotional and financial – is a critical component of being a great place to work.
