Renowned radiology team in Central Florida is seeking a driven APP (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to join their dynamic Interventional Radiology team! The group is considering candidates with a background in radiology, surgery, emergency medicine, or critical care, as well as highly motivated new graduates with local ties and a strong interest in radiology.

This practice boasts a strong team of fellowship-trained radiologists and established APPs who are very willing and fully prepared to train the right candidate.

Position Overview

  • Role: Full-time, permanent position in Interventional Radiology.
  • Location: Wildwood & The Villages, Florida (Sumter County)
  • Schedule: Excellent work-life balance with a standard Monday – Friday schedule.
  • Team: Collaborate daily with top-tier interventional radiologists and a highly supportive clinical team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and assist with image-guided procedures, including thoracentesis and paracentesis.
  • Manage the placement and removal of PICC lines, tunneled catheters, and ports.
  • Conduct CT-guided and ultrasound-guided biopsies and other minimally invasive procedures.
  • Obtain comprehensive health histories and perform complete physical examinations for hospitalized patients.
  • Attend daily rounds, communicate patient status information effectively, and document progress in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Develop collaborative patient treatment plans and educate patients and their families regarding discharge and follow-up care.

Qualifications

  • Active (or eligible to obtain) Florida state license as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP).
  • Current BLS/ACLS certification.
  • Previous experience in radiology, surgery, ER, or critical care is preferred, but new graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Proficient in utilizing EMR systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care.
