Job Type: Full-Time, On-Site
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (or 7:30 AM-4:30 PM)
No evenings, weekends, holidays, or call
Position Summary:
A leading radiology practice in Visalia, CA is seeking a skilled Physician Assistant to support its Interventional Radiology team. The PA will assist with image-guided procedures, patient consultations, and outpatient diagnostic services across both clinic and hospital settings. Candidates should have hands-on radiology procedural experience, strong clinical skills, and preferably Spanish proficiency. This role offers excellent opportunities for cross-training and professional growth within an advanced radiology environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with a wide range of image-guided procedures under physician supervision.

Perform H&Ps, consultations, and follow-up visits in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

Recommend appropriate imaging studies and support patient management plans.

Administer or order IV medications and contrast agents as permitted.

Perform key procedures, including biopsies, paracentesis, lumbar punctures, line placements, fluoro-guided procedures, pain-management injections, and minor cosmetic/diagnostic procedures.

Assess patient physiological and psychological responses to treatments.

Maintain high standards of radiation safety, patient safety, and quality compliance.

Adhere to all regulatory, credentialing, and institutional guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.

Active PA-C certification.

Minimum 3 years of hands-on radiology procedure experience (required).

Proficiency with paracentesis, lumbar punctures, biopsies, line placements, and fluoro-assisted procedures.

Strong clinical evaluation and consultation skills.

ACLS certification.
-
Active California PA license or eligibility to obtain before start date.

California Fluoroscopy Permit preferred (training/support provided if not yet obtained).

Spanish-speaking strongly preferred.

Willingness to relocate to Visalia, CA (relocation assistance available).
Work Setting:
This role includes a combination of:

Inpatient hospital rounding and procedures
-
Outpatient clinic visits and procedures
-
Occasional support at an affiliated regional hospital
Patients typically range from ages 18-99. Daily patient volume varies based on procedures and consult load (approximately 10-30 per day).
