Unique opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to practice in Interventional Radiology in Western Minnesota with award winning hospital.
Under the direction and supervision of the Radiologist, the position details include:
The Community
- The NP or PA will join the fellowship trained Musculoskeletal Diagnostic Radiologist.
- Join a great team and help develop this new role in the practice.
- Provider experience is required, open to training NP/PA with prior surgical/procedure, pain management, urgent care, or orthopedic experience.
Under the direction and supervision of the Radiologist, the position details include:
- Perform fluoroscopic examinations
- Perform minor procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, thyroid fine needle aspiration, arthrography, CT and US-guided biopsies, etc.
- Perform pre- and post-procedural follow-up patient evaluation, draft notes in the medical record
- Call results of imaging examinations, if needed
- Administer contrast agents and radiopharmaceuticals as prescribed by the radiologist
- Administer general medications as prescribed by the radiologist in conformance with organizational policy
EDUCATION & LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:
- License to practice medicine & DEA in Minnesota upon start
- Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
- Successful completion of PANCE board examination for Physician Assistant candidates or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- BLS required
