A well-respected healthcare facility located in the Bronx, NY is looking for a permanent, direct-hire Physician Assistant to join either their Radiology or Internal Medicine team! Part-time and full-time opportunities available. See below for more details.

Physician Assistant Pay: $135,000 - $166,000/annually

Internal Medicine: Full-time, day shift position

OR

Radiology: Full-time, night position: 8 p.m. - 8:30 a.m.; Part-time, weekend days position: 12 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Patient Assessment: PAs perform initial patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations, to determine appropriate radiological tests or procedures.
  • Ordering and Interpreting Tests: PAs may order and interpret certain radiological tests such as X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and ultrasounds under the supervision of a physician. They analyze the results and collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare providers to develop treatment plans.
  • Assisting Procedures: In some cases, PAs assist radiologists during interventional radiology procedures such as biopsies, catheter placements, and drainage procedures.
  • Patient Education: PAs educate patients about radiological procedures, including preparation instructions and potential risks and benefits.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: PAs maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including documenting patient encounters, test results, and treatment plans.
  • Collaboration: PAs work closely with radiologists, other healthcare providers, and support staff to ensure the efficient delivery of patient care.
  • Quality Assurance: PAs participate in quality assurance activities to ensure that radiological tests and procedures are performed accurately and safely.
Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited P.A. program

    Licensed and registered in New York State

    Must pass National Certification Exam and must pass National Recertification Exam every six years

    Must obtain 100 credits of approved CME every two years
