Onsite Full-Time Psychiatric PA Position in Bakersfield, CA with Sign On Bonus!

Aligned Telehealth is looking for a full-time Psychiatric PA to provide onsite psychiatric services in a Restoration to Competency Program in Kern County. This jail-based mental health treatment program serves individuals who have been found incompetent to stand trial. This is an employed position with Aligned Telehealth. Aligned Telehealth, Inc. is a National Behavioral Health Hospitalist and Telemedicine Company delivering high impact Clinical Services in varied clinical settings including Acute Inpatient, C/L, ER Correctional and Outpatient settings.

Facility: Kern County Jail

Location: Bakersfield, CA

Work Schedule: Full-time /40 hours per week Monday - Friday (no weekends and no call)

Scope of Work: Patient caseloads are managed by the onsite Psychiatrist and Psych PA. Patients must be seen at least once per week, some are seen more frequently. There are approximately 30 patients in the treatment program currently. Psychologists conduct the forensic evaluations and assessments. The program has a full-time supervising psychiatrist that will work with the onsite medical providers. The acuity of the patient case load is high. The program does not force medicate patients and uses treatment protocols in a team-based approach. There is 24/7 onsite medical staff to serve patients medical needs and provide medication support.

Essential Credentialing Requirements:

• Must have an active California medical license and DEA
• Must be board certified as a Physician Assistant
