Assignment Length:
- Initial 6-month contract
- Potential to extend
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Openings: 1
Details:
- Stand alone psychiatric facility
- Monday-Friday, 8:00a-4:00p
- Full-time coverage needed
- Not weekends or call required
- Average 16 adult/geriatric patients in addition to child/adolescent unit
- Responsibilities include:
- Admissions
- Discharges
- Daily notes on caseload
- Participate in family and/or agency meetings as necessary
- EMR: EPIC
- Credentialing: 30-45 days
Job Responsibilities
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Order and interpret diagnostic tests
Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions
Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices.
Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and APP specialty
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care
Document patient care accurately and thoroughly
Qualifications
Board certification
AHA BLS certification
Minimum 1-year Psychiatry experience or equivalent
Working Hours
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients
Proficiency in performing physical examinations and procedures relevant to their specialty
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to diagnose and manage complex medical conditions
Time management skills to efficiently manage a patient workload
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a healthcare team
