Job description Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Opportunity – Outpatient Behavioral Health *Location: Coupeville, WA - Seattle 55m | Full-Time, permanent | Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts* Position Overview The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) will provide comprehensive outpatient psychiatric care for child, adolescent, and adult patients with mental health disorders. This role involves diagnostic evaluation, medication management, patient education, and ongoing treatment planning in a collaborative behavioral health setting. Position Highlights * Outpatient behavioral health clinic setting * Full-time schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts * Focus on comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and medication management * Collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment * Opportunity to provide care to both adult and pediatric populations Key Responsibilities * Conduct psychiatric assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage follow-up care * Provide patient and family education on diagnosis, treatment, and medication use * Collaborate with other clinicians and behavioral health staff for coordinated care * Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with clinic policies and regulations * Participate in quality assurance and clinical improvement initiatives * Provide telephone triage and facilitate referrals when necessary * Ensure adherence to safety, infection control, and confidentiality standards Qualifications * Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited program * Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) * Active Washington State licensure (or eligibility to obtain) * Current DEA registration and BLS certification * Minimum one year of experience providing psychiatric care to adults and/or children preferred Desired Skills & Attributes * Strong clinical knowledge of psychopharmacology and mental health treatment standards * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients and families * Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment * Commitment to evidence-based and patient-centered psychiatric care Compensation & Benefits * Salary range: $120,000 - $160,000 * One-time incentive up to $20,000 * Comprehensive benefits package for employees working 0.6 FTE or greater * Medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans * Paid time off, CME allowance, and malpractice coverage Estimated pay range/amount is $120,000 - $160,000.
