Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner opening - Spring Valley, NY A Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Spring Valley, NY is seeking a skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join its dynamic Behavioral Health team. This is a great opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing accessible, comprehensive care to underserved populations in Rockland and Sullivan Counties. As a Psychiatric NP, you ll manage a broad spectrum of psychiatric disorders and collaborate closely with a team of psychiatrists and other medical professionals in a community-based setting with no billing or overhead responsibility Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and manage diagnosis and treatment plans
- Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications based on best clinical practices
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to coordinate care
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in the EMR
- Provide consultation and support to other departments as needed
- Ensure timely referrals and follow-up for continuity of care
