**Psychiatry NP Opening - Wahpeton, ND** Located 47m to Fargo *Clinic is seeking one full-time Psychiatry Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to become an integrated component of primary care team by increasing access for mental health and its support services. * **Position Details** - Full-time, permanent - Employed - 1.0 FTE, full-time position with FT benefits (will consider part-time interest also) - Monday-Friday from 8a-5p - Based in Wahpeton, ND, with outreach to Graceville, MN clinic. - Provide psychiatric service in the outpatient clinic setting, preferably able to serve all ages. - No call - Average appointment times: med check sand rechecks 20-30minutes, new patients 60 minutes - Highly engaged Primary Care team currently consisting of 1 internist, 2 family physicians as well as 4 nurse practitioners. Optometry, Surgery, LICSW, Chiropractor, PT, OT also on site with outreach service from many other specialties - Team of primary care physicians and advanced practice professionals utilize best practice methods to provide an environment that is engaged, innovative, value-driven and proactive in the care of our patients. - Enjoy the pleasures of residing in a community of true Americana with great schools, safe neighborhoods and a strong economy. **Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Mental Requirements:** - Advanced practice psychiatric-mental health nurse is limited to the provision of primary mental health care services to those at risk for mental disorders or presently in need of psychiatric-mental health services. - Designing and conducting mental illness preventive interventions. - Conducting individual psychotherapy, or family, group and network therapies as needed. - Conducting health screening and psychiatric evaluation. - Prescribing, monitoring, managing, and evaluating psychopharmacological and related medications. - Providing integrated mental health services in general health settings. - Collaborating with psychiatrists, seeking consultation when necessary and referring patients to other providers (physicians or nurse practitioners in other specialties) when the patients physical or mental health condition requires it. - Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to promote behavioral health services on the continuum of care. **Licensure/Certifications:** - Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state. - State licensure as either an Adult or Family Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Clinical Nurse Specialist with graduate coursework in: - Diagnosis and medication management of psychiatric illness (clinical practicum); AND have supervised clinical training at the graduate or post-graduate level - Current certification in CPR. - National certification, in applicable area. - Successful completion of credentialing process prior to practice.
