A trauma facility is seeking a pediatric cardiothoracic surgery physician assistant for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in Illinois.
Travel and lodging expenses are covered for this position. The schedule is from 7 am to 7 pm, three days a week, with on-call responsibilities from 7 pm to 7 am one to two nights per week. Every third weekend, on-call duty runs from 7 pm Friday to 7 am Monday. The role involves either 1st or 2nd assisting, depending on skill level and OR member availability, but ideally, it is 1st assisting. The position solely supports CT surgery, focusing on pediatric cases, and does not require Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH) experience. Applicants must have experience in pediatric heart surgeries and first assisting with such procedures. Licensing can be obtained since there is a start date of July 1st. The workload includes a total of 10 cases per week, typically running two operating rooms on Tuesdays and Thursdays and one operating room on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
