Urgent Pathology Assistant Locums Job in Nevada | Ongoing Assignment
We are seeking a high-caliber, adaptable Pathologists’ Assistant for a temporary assignment in Nevada. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable managing a high-volume workload with precision and autonomy.
Position Details:
--Schedule: Monday – Friday preferred (weekends are optional)
--Hours: 12:00 PM – 7:30 PM (includes a 30-minute lunch)
--Autonomy: You will serve as the primary PA on-site. While you must be comfortable working independently, Pathologists are available nearby for specimen review and consultation.
--No Autopsy
Caseload & Volume:
--Average grossing volume: 340 cases per day
--Mix of smalls, mediums, and complex cases: 20% smalls, 50% mediums, 30% large/complex
--Specimen Diversity: High complexity and variety, including routine surgicals, oncology cases (colon, breast, prostate), dermatology, women’s health, and small biopsies. Limited ENT (proximal mandible), limited neoplastic soft tissue.
Candidate Requirements:
--Licensure: Must qualify for a State of Nevada Pathologists’ Assistant License.
--Preferred Credential: Strong preference for candidates who qualify for the State of Nevada General Supervisor License.
--Soft Skills: Must demonstrate excellent communication, a team-player mentality, and the ability to maintain high quality under pressure.
