Exciting locum opportunity in Georgetown, SC 🌆 for a Pathology Assistant to support a busy laboratory team. Work in a collaborative environment handling surgical specimens and contributing to accurate diagnostic processes, with potential coverage across multiple locations.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens 🔬
• Ensure accurate specimen handling and documentation
• Complete daily caseload efficiently within shift timelines
• Assist pathologists in diagnostic workflows
• Maintain compliance with laboratory protocols and standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams 🤝
Qualifications
• Certified Pathology Assistant (ASCP required)
• Strong grossing experience (required)
• Experience in high-volume lab settings preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Working Hours
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM ⏰
(1-hour unpaid lunch; overtime as needed)
