Alan B. Miller Medical Center, a new state-of-the-art acute care hospital in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, is seeking an experienced Part-Time Pathologist Assistant to support hospital-based pathology services.
The facility is scheduled to open in April 2026, serving a rapidly growing community in northern Palm Beach County. This role offers the opportunity to join a new hospital environment built for growth, collaboration, and high-quality patient care.
Position Highlights
Alan B. Miller Medical Center is a 156-bed, seven-story acute care hospital currently under development in the Alton community of Palm Beach Gardens. The campus will feature a 365,000-square-foot hospital facility, a four-story medical office building, and a comprehensive range of services, including advanced imaging, laboratory services, radiology, surgical oncology, robotic surgery, and women’s health. The hospital will also provide emergency services, critical care, and a helistop for emergency transport. Designed to grow alongside the surrounding community, Alan B. Miller Medical Center emphasizes patient-centered care, advanced technology, and a collaborative clinical practice environment.

Position Highlights
- ASCP-certified Pathologists’ Assistant (PA[ASCP]) required
- Experience with grossing and assisting with frozen sections preferred
- Active Florida license or eligibility required
- Work alongside board-certified Anatomic and Clinical Pathologists
- No autopsy responsibilities
- Supportive hospital setting with grossing responsibilities primarily performed by PAs
- Part-time schedule ideal for flexibility or supplemental practice
- Perform gross examination and dissection of surgical pathology specimens
- Assist pathologists with frozen sections and specimen adequacy assessments
- Prepare and manage specimens, including breast, thoracic, gynecologic, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, neurologic, head & neck, and limited hematopathology cases
- Collaborate closely with laboratory staff and pathologists to ensure accurate specimen processing
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of gross findings and specimen handling
- Communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary hospital team
