A well-established acute care hospital in Hilton Head Island, SC is seeking a Pathology Assistant (PA) for a full-time locum assignment starting February 12, 2026, ongoing until a permanent hire is made.
Assignment Details

End Date: Ongoing (until FTE hired)

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Lunch: 30 minutes–1 hour (unpaid)

On Call: None

Average Caseload: ~30 cases per day

OT: Applicable if caseload extends beyond scheduled hours
Practice Environment

2 Pathologists onsite

1 Clinical Lab Assistant

Hospital-based Pathology/Laboratory department
Requirements

ASCP certification – Required

Must be able to perform grossing – Required

Ability to complete daily caseload prior to end of shift

Credentialing through onboarding and Employee Health only (no MSO)
