🔬 Position Overview

A hospital in Georgetown, SC is actively seeking a Pathology Assistant or Physician Assistant with Pathology experience to provide ongoing locum coverage. This role is critical to supporting surgical pathology services and requires strong experience with grossing large specimens.

This is a full-time daytime assignment with consistent coverage needed from late December through early January, with many additional dates available into early 2026.

⏰ Schedule

• Day shifts: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Some extended shifts: 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM (select October dates)

• No on-call

• Coverage needed Dec 21 – Jan 5 (must be available)

🧫 Key Responsibilities

• Grossing of large and complex surgical specimens

• Support of surgical pathology and laboratory operations

• Collaboration with pathology and laboratory teams

• Ensuring accurate specimen handling, processing, and reporting

✅ Requirements

• Pathology Assistant or PA with Pathology experience

• ASCP certification required

• Strong experience grossing large specimens

• Able to commit to full-time coverage, especially Dec 21 – Jan 5
